Youth

Every year the chapter encourages the youth to become a member of our growing organization in Northwest Indiana. Youth members are eligible to participate in a drawing offering waterfowl and deer hunts. Selected youth members of the Northwest Indiana Chapter of Waterfowl USA shared their stories and pictures of their hunts.

Please visit our Youth page of the website to read more about the Chapter’s youth program, stories from our youth hunters, and further information on youth events.

Hunt of a Lifetime

The Northwest Indiana Chapter of Waterfowl U.S.A. works with the Hunt Of A Lifetime Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission to grant hunting & fishing adventures and dreams for children age 21 and under, who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses.

During the 2013 Waterfowl season, Kyle Bartolini was chosen for the hunt. We would like to thank Kyle for the memorable hunt and also for taking the time to write us about his hunt.

Wounded Veteran

Each year, the Northwest Indiana Chapter of Waterfowl U.S.A. teams up with a wounded veteran to provide a goose hunt with the chapter at their annual Horicon Marsh Goose Hunt.

During the 2013 waterfowl hunting season, Mark Felton was chosen for the hunt.

Mark wrote a short story about his hunting experience and we would like to share his story with you. If you would like to read his story, click on the link below.

Remembering John Jelinek

On 05/09/2013, Waterfowl USA, family, and friends of John Jelinek had to say good bye to a great man who left us with many amazing memories and stories.

Even though John may not be present with us today, he will remain in our hearts and thoughts.

The chapter, family and friends placed a memorial stone at the Jerry Allen Marsh. Click Here for a picture of the memorial.
