Dear Friends:
Thank you for visiting the Waterfowl U.S.A. web site. For those of you who may not be familiar with Waterfowl U.S.A.,
we were founded in January, 1983 as the only national, non-profit, conservation organization, dedicated to using funds
in the areas in which they are raised for local and state waterfowl projects. We are a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt, non-profit organization.
All donations to Waterfowl U.S.A. are fully tax-deductable as provided by law. We were founded, by biologists, for the purpose of restoring,
enhancing, and preserving the vital wintering and breeding habitat within the United States. There was, and still is, a tremendous need to fund
waterfowl projects on the local level. Therefore, local and state fund-raising chapters are being organized to lead the way in restoring waterfowl
habitat within the United States. Waterfowl U.S.A. chapters have built drawn down impoundments in critical wintering areas, provided critical
nesting habitat, planted feeding areas for waterfowl, developed educational youth programs, worked with Boy Scouts to erect nesting boxes
in a national wood duck box program, funded waterfowl banding and radio telemetry projects and much more !!!
Waterfowl U.S.A. chapters retain up to 80% of the net funds they raise and spend those funds on their own local waterfowl habitat projects.
Additionally, we have agreements in place for our chapters to receive matching funds for many of their projects. That allows a
chapter that raises $20,000 to take their 80% ($16,000) and turn it into $32,000. If you would like to see a Waterfowl U.S.A.
Chapter improving the waterfowl habitat in your area, we have information on how you can Start Your Own Local Waterfowl U.S.A. Chapter.
Our web site will show you some of our Chapters Projects.
We have just added this feature, and it allows our chapters to post their own chapter news, announcements, events, accomplishments, and project reports.
Please check back often. More and more chapters will be adding their information in the near future. If you are interested in improving the

their efforts on fulfilling our non-profit mission. More importantly, the funding we are currently using for general operations will be available for the
growth and development of the organization. For your convenience, we are able to accept fully tax-deductable donations to the Waterfowl U.S.A. Endowment Fund online.
