At this crucial time when we're all wondering what we can do for our precious wetland habitat and waterfowl resource, Waterfowl U.S.A. is taking giant steps to bring a national public awareness to the importance of preserving our wetland habitat. Waterfowl U.S.A. is working with local groups and state and federal agencies to create a future for our waterfowl resource within the United States. Waterfowl U.S.A. is also working hard to develop and maintain a positive image for the sportsman in an age when it seems the non-hunting public perceives the hunters in a negative way.

Each year Waterfowl U.S.A. holds one of the most prestigious fund-raising events in the country to benefit our waterfowl conservation efforts. Waterfowl U.S.A. assembles more than 30 well known celebrities from across the country and from all walks of life to assist us in our fund-raising efforts. We are very fortunate to have the support of many actors, actresses, recording artists, professional athletes, politicians, astronauts, and wildlife artists. Two things they all have in common is their love of the outdoors and their support of the work Waterfowl U.S.A. is doing to protect our wetland habitat and waterfowl resource for the enjoyment of future generations.

All of these celebrities assemble each year to lend their name and support to the Waterfowl U.S.A. Celebrity Auction and Banquet. While this event is one of Waterfowl U.S.A.Õs most important fund-raisers, it is much more than just a fund-raising event. This celebrated event is our opportunity to develop a more positive image for waterfowling by educating the public regarding the role that the sportsman plays as a conservationist. Also, with the numerous sources of national and local media that cover this event each year, we have the ideal opportunity to create the public awareness as to the needs of our waterfowl resource and to showcase what we as conservationists are doing to conserve the resources that we so dearly love.
